Well, there is not really any shifts like that. They are either opening, and leaving around 6 p.m., or they are closing the theater.

Yeah, we have middle shifts so they only have to work three people so everyone can take breaks without a manager covering that postion.
Usually it's an opening person until 5, a midshift person from 2-8:30, and a closer from five until close. At least for concessions. It's different in each position.

Well, I have not seen a 2 to 8:30 shift at the theater I work that I can remember. There is shifts that vary in length, but usually start, or end at the same time. The managers have been covering breaks though sometimes. That is part of the reason I am still looking for more work, in either another part-time job, or a full time job.

Just wait until school's out. You'll get a ton more hours.

I think Maybe. I got my schedule for the new week, and I have 4 days on, and each day is about 8 hours.

Yeah, and now I am being told that I still have to get one of my references from my previous employer, or someone else.

The theater required me to get references from either my previous employers, or someone I knew from my education or professionally. I was just told I needed one still because they couldn't get my employment history from Fred Meyers. I am running around trying to get this, and I am going to try to get it from someone after my interview tomorrow. I know I am going to be looking for work some where else for sure now though.

You have to get a reference, and you're already working there?

Yeah, I know. They couldn't get through to my first job for a reference.

That's quite possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You work for a stupid company.

I am not going to dissagree with you on that one. Last night, I had to track one of my managers down just to clock out last night. I turned in my radio when they told me that I could leave, and then told me I still had something to do. The time clock was not allowing me to punch out, and I had to get there attention by pounding on the stock room door.
Then there is a meeting tonight at 10:15 p.m. that I have to do go to.

Yeah, our computer freezes sometimes and we're allowed to just leave because they'll fix it.

I mean, I was there too long, and the time clock was not going to let me use my card without one of my managers allowing me to swipe one of their cards and entering a code.
