that's bullshit that you have to buy something to do it...that actually really pisses me off!! I'm tired of all these companies making you buy extra shit with your video games!

Well, you can still play your PS2 games on the PS3 with out it, but you will have to start a new game. It is not like the accesory costs a lot to buy.

the 360. its been on the market longer. the other two just launched. the wii, in my opinion, is in the best positoin: its fun, innovative, cheap, and seems to be catching on, not to mentoin it has zelda. it could very well emerge victorous, from the early vantage point. the PS3 took heavy fire from critics and consumers: low supply and high price made for a very hard sell, and sony missed the critical launch window.

Well, the PS3 is not in low supply now. I have seen PS3s all over the place, but I have never been able to find a Wii. I was, at one point, trying to buy a Wii, but I have decided to just get a PS3.

Didn't they recently start packaging with the PS3 a DVD ( I saw this somewhere and I think it was the movie Talledega Nights) to help add value to the sale?

Yeah, I think they did that with the PS3s from Best Buy. I know I saw a picture of someone opening his PS3 and you could see the Blue-Ray case for the movie in the box next to the PS3.

I just don't see the major deal with the need for the HDDVDs and the Blue-Ray movies. I just don't see any differences, other than the price of the disc. I also don't see a major difference between the new consoles and the last generation of consoles.

Well, I have an interesting update that will probably end up hurting the PS3 and helping the 360 even more. In a gaming group on Myspace, someone showed a link to an article that mentioned that Final Fantasy XIII is not going to be a PS3 exclusive anymore. It didn't site a source of the information, and it didn't indicate what the other systems the game would be coming out for, so it is a possibility they could be developing a version of the game for the Wii. I love my Sony PS2, and the games they released for it, but if they don't get their act together, the PS3 could be going the way of the Dreamcast.
