I don't like it when anybody put the letter "I" before a name brand. Think that when some one does this when naming a product it is an obvious attempt to cling on to the Apple franchise roller-coaster. Since Apple did not trade mark "I" companies will use it. Cisco a couple of month ago already came out with the "IPhone", it is an Internet based phone. Even though Cisco has a trade marked the name "IPhone", Apple insists on using the name also when talking about the IPod/Cell phone that will be in the future market. Who do you think is right, Apple for originating putting the "I" in front of the product's name or the company that trademarks the name before Apple does? VS.

Obviously, it is Cisco who has the right to the name of Iphone because they took the time and money to get the trade mark for the name.

I agree with RPG unfortunately. This is the problem with Apple, they don't always think about copyright laws and then they get screwed.

Yeah, I don't have an Ipod either, but I have not used a MP3 player in years though.

I don't know. I think it's just an attempt at getting more people interested in their product by using the "i".
Yeah, Apple isn't all that smooth when it comes to names and copyrights. They are bringing up the Beatle's record company (Apple) lawsuit again. I heard it on the radio the other day. I don't know much about it, only that the Beatle's Apple is trying to revive the lawsuit by saying that Apple Computers broke an agreement that said they would not have to change their name as long as they never got into the music industry. Well, with the success of the iPod and iTunes, Apple Computers is now in the music business. Apparently, The Beatles are the only band that has NOT went digital.

Well, we will just have to wait and see what happens with Apple with all of these stupid mistakes they are making.

I guess I am the minority in the fact that I don't want to have a Ipod of any type.

I wouldn't mind one if someone else bought it for me, but I'm happy with my Mobiblu MP3 player right now.

Yeah, it was an interesting choice. I personally don't know if it was a great choice. At least, it didn't take them any time to think up, or at least I would hope it didn't take them much time. lol ;D
